EdgeForts can be deployed for as little as $3,100 per remote site, and comes with significant integrated software and hardware including: Bundled software: Arkeia Network Backup Unlimited Type Linux, Windows & Mac, Workstation & Desktop Clients (formerly Type 3 clients) 2 years one star maintenance (technical support and software updates) Support for all ANB plug-ins Unlimited Data Encryption module Federated Administration Server Enterprise Encryption Unlimited Type 3 Clients 3 Type 1 Clients on the 100 Series 5 Type 1 Clients on the 200 Series VTL license Hardware: RAID-1 Disks for staging and rapid recover, and optional integrated DAT-72 or LTO-2 for archiving Multiple hardware redundancies including swappable RAID 1 drives, a hardened OS, the application and OS on flash memory ANB v6.1

For existing software customers, key differences between the EdgeFort appliance and software only include:
EdgeFort comes standard with 2 years support & updates, while software comes standard with 1 year support and updates EdgeFort client licensing does not differentiate between Type I and Type II server clients EdgeFort does not currently support multi-drive libraries EdgeFort does not currently support SAN LAN-free backup Module EdgeFort does not currently support Remote Drive Management (RDM) Module
