The new Pre-Sales Systems Engineer position is responsible for providing technical sales support to the regional sales team. This includes providing expert consulting in analyzing a client's requirements, recommending Arkeia's solutions, implementing those solutions, optimizing performance and training customers & partners. This position reports to the VP of Sales and has outstanding growth potential.
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales technical support for Arkeia's family of data protection software.
- Articulate and evangelize Arkeia's technical differentiators and core value proposition.
- Participate in customer forums, trade shows, seminars and other sales-related activities.
- Perform system troubleshooting using standard tools and procedures, problem isolation, and laboratory reproduction for customer-related issues. This may be either at the customer's site or at a remote location (such as Arkeia's offices).
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Previous sales experience a plus
Qualifications:
- Linux and/or Unix System Administrator expertise.
- Emphatic take charge, start-up company attitude.
- Strong customer relations skills and problem solving skills.
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills.
- Travel as necessary (25%-50%) in direct support of Arkeia sales efforts.
Technical experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Storage and/or data protection
- UNIX / Linux systems administration
- NAS / SAN
- Customer training
- Project management experience in solution development, system implementation and consulting is a plus.
- Able to think outside the box

We have an exciting position as a Technical Support Representative.
The Technical Support Representative we seek will:
- Provide quality customer service and Level 2 technical support on Arkeia products
- Be assigned to multiple phone queues and may support more than one product agent and options
- Test and escalate issues to senior team members
- Have some autonomy
- Be required to spend up to 10% of time in travel
Applicants for this position:
- Must have 2+ years of experience supporting technical applications or software
- Must have excellent knowledge of Linux and TCP/IP Network configuration
- Must have excellent knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V or other Visualization products
- Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Sharepoint, SQL and Exchange Server
- Must have excellent knowledge and experience with SCSI, SAS, iSCSI, Fiber Channel and SAN environments
- Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem analysis skills
- Must have excellent customer service orientation
- Must have excellent listening skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and convey complex or technical issues to a wide audience
- Must have a relevant technical certificate or degree or equivalent job experience
- Lotus Notes, DB2, Oracle, MySQL and PosrgreSQL knowledge is a plus

The position supports all aspects of corporate sales and will initially focus on working with installed base customers. The Sales & Marketing Intern position is designed as six month internship that could become permanent at end of internship. This junior position reports to the VP of Sales and has outstanding growth potential.
Major Responsibilities:
- Research, organize and prepare sales quotes to existing customers
- Email and call existing customers regarding account status
- Update and maintain customer database in Salesforce.com
- Develop marketing campaigns to installed base
- Support Professional Services marketing projects
- Assist in general marketing activities, including lead generation and corporate marketing
- Complete assorted office duties (assist purchasing, accounting, filing etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Good problem solving skills and a take charge, start-up company attitude
- Comfort with ambiguity and change
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Excellent personal communication skills, both written and verbal
