Distributor of IT security solutions, Dagma Sp. z o.o. signed a cooperation contract with an American producer of backup solutions Arkeia Software
Katowice, 1st September 2011 – Arkeia Software is a company founded in 1996, headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, specialised in comprehensive data backup in enterprise networks. Arkeia is currently deployed in over 100,000 networks owned by 7,000 customers in 70 countries. The customers include, among others, Sony, GE, Discovery Channel, Volkswagen, Disney, UNESCO, or NASA.
Cooperation with Dagma will commence with a market entry of a versatile backup solution, Arkeia Network Backup. The latter can be deployed as software, a physical appliance or a virtual appliance and is compatible with over 200 platforms, both physical (ex. Linux, Mac OS, Solaris, Windows) and virtual (ex. VMware, Microsoft, Citrix), thanks to which it allows the user to take full advantage of virtualisation without fear of data loss. All deployment modes can be managed via a web-based graphical user interface and a command-line interface.
Thanks to advanced algorithms Arkeia Network Backup boasts patented technology of progressive deduplicationTM, which eliminates duplicates within the backup much faster and much more effectively in terms of storage space required than other solutions available on the market to date. The backed up data can also be encrypted with a safe AES-256 algorithm. Capabilities of Arkeia Network Backup have been appreciated by an American analytical organisation DCIG, which positions the solution among top three most recommended backup solutions for virtual environments.
Dagma Sp. z o.o. headquartered in Katowice is specialised in distribution of IT security products. It distributes ESET, Barracuda Networks, NETASQ, WinMagic, Cloudmark, Agnitum, and from now on also Arkeia Software. As a result of the contract signed with the American partner Dagma is going to build partner network focused on backup and implement partner programme ensuring incentives for resellers, in addition to a marketing strategy promoting Arkeia’s products on the Polish market.
