Neal Ater
Neal Ater was most recently CEO and president of data protection and archiving software provider Atempo, following the company’s merger with Storactive, where he was president and CEO. Ater’s deep roots in backup also extend to his position as senior vice president of Veritas’ Data Protection Group, where he headed engineering and product management for backup product lines including NetBackup and Backup Exec. He was senior vice president of engineering at Seagate Software, and his more than 25 years of experience includes executive and advisory roles for a number of network storage and systems vendors, including the board of directors of deduplication specialist Data Domain. Ater holds a bachelor's in Systems Analysis from Miami University in Ohio, and an MBA from Xavier University. |

Phil Roussey
Phil Roussey is a co-founder of Bell Microproducts, a $3.5B distribution and applications specialist in computer and storage technologies, where he served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Bell Micro was acquired by Avnet in 2010. Prior to founding Bell Micro, Roussey spent his early career in electrical engineering and applications engineering roles at General Motors and Texas Instruments. Roussey’s experience has been developed from a spectrum of executive roles in successful startups as well as medium and large public corporations. Previous experience includes roles in strategic planning, market development, demand creation, and marketing and sales management. He has significant expertise in channel marketing, based on more than 30 years in this field. Roussey holds a master’s degree in computer science from Southern Methodist University and a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan. |

Larry Kubo
Larry Kubo has more than 20 years of marketing, sales, and general management experience in companies ranging from startup to public corporations. Before starting 1st Wave Marketing, Kubo was vice president and general manager of the Appliance Software Division at Veritas Software, and prior to this, vice president of marketing at Network Appliance. Previous experience includes director of vertical markets for Java Systems at Sun Microsystems, general manager of the Development System Operation at Adaptec, and executive marketing and sales roles in several privately held ventures. Kubo holds an MBA from Stanford University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. |

Narender OrugantiNarender Oruganti is an entrepreneur and co-founded Catura Broadband Systems, an Internet based Education Company. Before Catura, he spent almost 20 successful years in marketing, operations and management in leading high- technology companies. Before launching a startup, he was the director of marketing at Veritas’ Appliance Software Division. Prior to Veritas, he spent over four years at Network Appliance. Previous experience includes more than 10 years at Hewlett Packard in various roles in marketing, management and operations. Oruganti holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, CA, M.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India. |
